  • Free Lunch & a Movie for Kids & Teens at NC Public Library, 12pm.
    Every Tuesday & Friday through August 1 (except July 4). For grades K-12. Lunch provided by Colonial School District. Movie schedule is available at the link above.

  • 7/12 - (New Castle Public) Library on the Loose in Battery Park, 10am-1pm.

    The library and community partners will be in the park offering outdoor activities, games to play, a Storytime for children ages 0-5 at 10:30am, and free resources including:

    - Healthy Snacks + Used Clothes
    - Hygiene & Dental Products
    - Summer Camp Information
    - School Supplies + Books
    - Narcan Training

  • 7/12 - Soul Line Dancing Party, at the Buttonwood School Museum, 5-8pm.
    Featuring Kenny J and DJ Ell, a “LIT NIGHT of FUN for Adults over 21,” benefitting the museum and The Wilmington Ballet. Tickets and further info at the link.

  • 7/12 - Dog Days of Summer: National Treasure screening on The Green, 8pm.
    Pet-friendly outdoor showing of National Treasure by New Castle Court House museum, with discussion of the history brought up in the movie.

  • 7/16 - A Serious Man Film Screening at Old Town Hall, 6:30pm.
    Enjoy a different classic film every Wednesday evening. Space and snacks by the Mercury Cafe & Teahouse; films curated by NC Public Library’s Tyler A.

  • 7/16 - EXIT 93 Summer Concert in Battery Park, 6:30pm.

    Part of the Summer Concert Series from New Castle Community Partnership. Free.

  • 7/20 - ‘2nd Street Coffeehouse’ Acoustic Open Mic at NC Presbyterian, 6pm.
    Acoustic and stand-up performances by neighbors, benefitting the Friendship House. $5 cash at the door.

  • 7/21 to 24 - New Castle History Summer Camp, various locations, daily.
    New Castle Court House Museum, New Castle Public Library, First State National Historical Park, and Read House & Gardens offer a range of activities that will allow 10-13 y/o participants to explore the Revolutionary War in Delaware and learn how to be civically engaged in their own communities.⁠ Register at NCCHmuseum@Delaware.gov.

  • 7/23 - The Launch Summer Concert in Battery Park, 6:30-8pm.
    Part of the Summer Concert Series from New Castle Community Partnership. Free.

  • 7/25 - Live from Old Town Hall: Friction Farm performance, 6:30pm.
    21+ event by NC Public Library, ft. modern-folk duo Friction Farm, a husband-and-wife team of traveling troubadours. No registrationr required, refreshments available to buy.

  • 7/29 - The Science Behind the Colors in Nature, at NC Public Library, 3pm.
    In collab. with the DE AeroSpace Education Foundation (DASEF), the library presents a summer reading program all about why things look the way they do. Geared toward families with younger children.

  • 7/30 - Magical Mystery Summer Concert in Battery Park, 6:30-8pm.
    Part of the Summer Concert Series from New Castle Community Partnership. Free.

  • 8/6 - Cyndee & Jim Summer Concert in Battery Park, 6:30-8pm.
